Melike Baris

Psychologist

After completing the Life Sciences program at Birkbeck University, Melike Baris, who continued her studies at the Middlesex University Psychology with Counseling Skills, graduated here with a 2.1 degree. During her undergraduate education, she completed her internship in many different charities (Rethink Mental Health, IMECE Women’s Centre, 7 Cups) and was entitled to receive various certificates and titles. She received training in Individual Centered and CBT therapy during her undergraduate education. She completed her undergraduate dissertation on “Psychological Approaches to Resilience When Overcoming Grief and Loss in Cross Cultures” under the supervision of Dr Fiona Starr. She has continued her studies in many different areas, such as anxiety disorders, depression and panic attacks. She adopts the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach and receives training in EMDR. She actively sees clients and continues her psychotherapy sessions.
